clip'M is a clipboard manager for Mac, developed by United Visions. What you copy stays on your Mac. We do not run an account system, and we do not collect your clipboard.
What stays on your Mac
clip'M saves clipboard history, snippets, and action scripts in
~/Library/Application Support/ClipM on that computer.
History can include text, links, file names, and images you copied.
The App Store version keeps this folder inside its macOS app container.
Saved history and snippets are not encrypted by the app.
Preferences, such as keyboard shortcuts, stay on the Mac as well.
That information is not sent to United Visions. We do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising or tracking.
Permissions
clip'M asks for Accessibility so it can paste the clip you choose into the app you are using. This permission is used for paste, not to watch what you do in other apps.
Update checks
If you installed clip'M from the Mac App Store and check for an update, the app asks Apple whether a newer version is listed. That request includes the app’s bundle identifier. It does not include your clipboard.
If you installed the direct download, clip'M uses Sparkle to look for a new release on GitHub. That check does not include your clipboard.
Deleting your information
Clear History removes saved clipboard history from the live database and clears the current clipboard. It keeps your snippets and actions. Copies in backups, exports, or other apps are not removed. To remove the app's stored data, quit it and delete its ClipM application support folder (inside its app container for the App Store version). Removing the app does not by itself remove that folder.
